KBC MOTORCYCLE HELMETS
GENERAL CARE & CLEANING
CARING FOR HELMETS CORRECTLY:
In order for your KBC
motorcycle helmets to provide the maximum
level of performance and service, proper care and attention
to it's condition and general upkeep is essential. Clean
the exterior and interior of your KBC motorcycle
helmets regularly. Use a soft cloth with mild
detergent, using only lukewarm water. Never use gasoline
(petrol), thinners, benzene or any other solvents or chemicals
because they can adversely effect the shock absorbing inner
liner and plastic components.
The comfort liner and cheek pads are fully removable, washable
and replacements are available through your KBC dealer.
Carefully hand wash and air dry the comfort liner and cheek
pads when required. When the comfort liner is damp or wet
due to perspiration or rain, always dry the KBC
motorcycle helmets and liner in the shade,
gentle air movement through the material will speed the
drying process.

SHIELD CARE:
IT IS ABSOLUTELY ESSENTIAL THAT THE KBC MOTORCYCLE SHIELD
IS KEPT IN OPTIMUM CONDITION AT ALL TIMES. DETERIORATION
THROUGH SCRATCHES AND ROAD DEBRIS SUCH AS INSECTS AND GENERAL
ROAD FILM CAN SERIOUSLY REDUCE CLEAR VISION AND INCREASE
TE RISK OF CAUSING AN ACCIDENT WITH THE POTENTIAL FOR SERIOUS
INJURY TO YOURSELF AND OTHER ROAD USERS.
In order to maintain the KBC motorcycle helmets
shield condition you should clean it regularly
at fuel stops and while out riding. Never attempt to clean
KBC motorcycle helmets shield while riding the motorcycle.
ALWAYS STOP FIRST.
Clean KBC motorcycle helmets shield
only with clean, lukewarm water and a mild detergent. Never
use solvents or chemicals. Only use approved cleaning products
designed for KBC motorcycle helmets shields. Always use
a very soft lint free cloth and rub gently. Never use a
dry cloth to clean KBC motorcycle helmets shield, only immediately
after cleaning should you gently buff dry KBC
motorcycle helmets shield.
MIRRORED SHIELDS: Due to the technology
used in manufacturing mirror or iridium coated KBC motorcycle
helmets shields, these KBC motorcycle helmets shields scratch
or damage more easily than clear KBC motorcycle helmets
shields. Therefore these KBC motorcycle helmets
shields must be cleaned with even greater care.
DARK TINTED, SMOKE, BLACK AND MIRRORED SHIELDS SHOULD NEVER
BE USED AT NIGHT OR IN INCLEMENT WEATHER WHERE VISIBILITY
IS POOR AS THESE ARE DESIGNED ONLY FOR VERY BRIGHT RIDING
CONDITIONS (CHECK THE LEGALITY OF THESE SHIELDS IN YOUR
STATE OR COUNTRY AS IN SOME COUNTRIES THESE ARE ILLEGAL)
SHIELD SYSTEM LUBRICATION:
When servicing KBC motorcycle helmets,
use a silicone or vaseline (petroleum jelly) in small quantities
to provide a small degree of lubrication to moving parts
DO NOT PUT IT ON THE SHIELD AS THIS CAN REDUCE CLEAR VISION.
