The New Shoei RF-1100
Released in October 2009, the Shoei RF-1100 is a worthy successor to the very popular RF1000. The new RF-1100 comes in a range of new colors.

On first appearance, besides the updated graphics, one of the first things you will notice that is different on the new RF1100 is the spoiler on the rear of the helmet. This is called the Shell-Integrated Spoiler by Shoei. The new helmet manufacturing technology developed during the production of the VFX-W Motocross helmet, allows Shoei to eliminate the plastic wing spoiler that was attached to the old RF1000. The new integrated spoiler has the same aerodynamic advantages for the helmet (reducing lift at high speeds) - while the integrated design allows consistent shell thickness for helmet strength.

New Helmet Shield
The all-new CW-1 shield is both wider and taller than the older CX-IV shield. The CW-1 shield protects riders from 99% of the sun’s damaging UVA and UVB rays, and our three-dimensional injection-molding process ensures distortion free vision. Another advantage of the CW-1 shield is its ability to work in conjunction with SHOEI’s optional Pinlock system to deliver fog-free vision in even the most challenging conditions. The new CW-1 Pinlock lens is larger, and offers fog-free viewing to the very top of the helmet’s larger eye port.
Interior Helmet Padding
The RF-1100 comes with removable interior padding & cheek pads - allowing the helmet lining to be washed or replaced. The RF-1100's 3D interior padding is three-dimensionally shaped to match the shape of the rider's head - this interior padding is more comfortable and keeps a more secure fit to the head at higher speeds. These RF-1100 interior cheek pads come in 6 sizes - allowing you to customise the exact fit of your helmet.
Will my RF1100 helmet still fit me if I wear Glasses ?
The new helmet comes with eyeglass channels on the interior lining - which allows the extra room for glasses, without compromising the snug fit of the helmet.
Helmet Ventilation
The new RF1100 now comes with 9 vents (3 in and 6 out). After extensive research in the lab with the Shoei wind tunnel - technicians found that exhaust vents should actually be placed higher up the back of the helmet. After months of development the new RF1100 has improved ventilation and aerodynamics than before.
