Arai Corsair V The Corsair V (Corsair 5) helmet is designed for those riders who require the best helmet available on the market today. The very best in design, fit, and comfort from a motorcycle helmet.
Intermediate Oval Interior Shape - This shape is designed for riders with a head shape where front-to-back dimension is longer than side-to-side dimension. (Shorter front-to-back and a little wider side-to-side than the Long Oval).
Helmet Design Features: Helmet Belting - Developed by Arai for its F1 helmets, the belt covers the forehead above the face opening. Wider Face Shield - The Corsair V has a wider face sheild than the previous RX7. An extra 5mm on each side of the helmet improves peripheral vision and offers a more open feeleing to the wearer. This requires Arai's SAI Faceshield. Dry Cool Helmet Liner - The Corsair V liner has a new position for its rear mounting clips for a more secure fit. Removable and Replaceable Neckroll - The Arai helmet includes a vented neckroll which helps to expel air from inside the helmet. It also makes for easier cleaning, and quick replacement. Helmet Air Wing - The Corsair helmet includes adjustable Air Wing which helps to reduce drag, turbulence and buffeting. It can be easily adjusted to 5 settings from full-tuck racing position for use on track days, or upright riding position. Emergency Cheekpad Release - This feature allows medical staff to easily access an injured rider in an emergency situation. This Arai safety innovation has been developed to allow easier access to an injured rider. Helmet Brow Vent - The Corsair V has inner ducts which redirect incoming air to the temples and ear area instead of the forehead. Studies have shown that this can help cool blood flow to the brain area, improving comfort and performance. Compact Shell - The Arai Corsair 5 has a more compact shell which improves the overall look of the helmet, and helps improve wind resistances. The lower opening has also been enlarged making it easier to put on or take off the helmet. Ear Pad Foam - Arai have worked at reducing wind noise to the riders ears by incorporating Ear Pad Foam into the Corsair V helmet. Helmet Side Vents - Increased side air vents improve the airflow around the helmet. With a middle intake slot that helps expel air from the helmet. Vents can be operated with gloves. Overall effect is that the Corsair V has more ventilation than the previous RX-7 helmets.
